The BSA swim annual test is required for all attending any Scout camp. There are 3 categories: Swimmer, Beginner, or non-swimmer.
Non-swimmer: doesn’t complete test.
Beginners: Jump feet first into water over the head, level off, and swim 25 ft on the surface. Stop, turn sharply, resume swimming, and return to the starting place.
Swimmers: Jump feet first into water over the head. Level off and swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: sidestroke, breaststroke, trudgen, or crawl; then swim 25 yards using an easy resting backstroke. The 100 yards must be completed in one swim without stops and includes at least one sharp turn. After completing the swim, rest by floating.
There will be no walk-ins at this event. You must register to participate.
RESTROOMS AT THE POOL HOUSE ARE FOR YOUTH ONLY; SEPERATED BY GENDER. No changing rooms
