This training is in accordance to the NCAP standard FA-712
Chain saw operators must be at least 21 years old and meet one of the following requirements: 1 . Be a professional forester with current credentials and liability insurance . 2. Be a certified arborist with credentials. 3 . Have written documentation of training in chain saw techniques from one of the following: (a) a state or federally recognized chain saw training course approved by the council; or (b) the BSA Chain Saw Basic Training course, No . 430-136
Scouters, 21 years and older, will need to bring their own lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle. Participants are to bring their own chainsaw, fuel, bar oil and safety gear. If you do not have these items, some equipment will be available.
