Units will sign up here to participate in the Tailgating with the Troops event and/or the Haunted Forest Event.
If your unit participates in both events you will have the opportunity to arrive on Friday evening and stay through Sunday.
If you are not participating in both you will need to be on site for the event that you signed up for only. If it is Tailgating with the Troops you may arrive Friday night and stay until Tailgating with the Troops ends and then you will need to check out so that we can clear the space for the next event. If you are staying for the Haunted Forest event, you will arrive around 2:00 pm to get moved in and set up prior to the start of the event at 6:30 pm.
Haunted Forest will run through 10:00 pm this year - we anticipate long lines with it being our 3rd year and the signage and lighting we are planning for.
It is important that your families understand that they will not be able to access the park from the hours of 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm unless they purchase a ticket to drive through the event. No additional traffic will be allowed and there will be no one allowed to be walking along the roads during the event, either. Once the show starts everyone will need to stay in their area until all the vehicles have stopped moving and the roads are cleared with the gates closed to incoming traffic. Be sure to communicate this with your scouts and their families.
We have different lead volunteers for each of the events. For the Tailgating with the Troops you will coordinate with Josh Wagner (contact information on the resources page). For Haunted Forest you will coordinate with Hannah Zuflacht (her mother's contact information is on the resources page).
